On August 26, 2024, my country's bearing industry ushered in a major technological breakthrough. Recently, at the "High-Temperature Bearing Material Application Seminar" organized by the China Bearing Industry Association, news broke that a new high-temperature-resistant bearing material has passed industrial validation and has been widely used in the new energy vehicle and wind power sectors. This material utilizes innovative alloy formulations and heat treatment processes, extending the bearing's service life under sustained high-temperature conditions to 2.5 times that of traditional materials.
This breakthrough technology is reportedly the result of joint research by several leading domestic bearing companies and research institutes. The new material maintains stable mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy even in high-temperature environments, successfully addressing the temperature rise challenge faced by new energy vehicle motor bearings during high-speed operation. Currently, this material has been mass-produced in drive motors of major domestic new energy vehicle manufacturers. Test data shows a 15% reduction in bearing temperature rise and a 3% increase in energy efficiency.
Experts from the Technical Committee of the China Bearing Industry Association stated that the successful application of this technology marks my country's achievement in internationally advanced specialty bearing materials, providing important support for high-end equipment manufacturing. It is expected that by the end of 2024, the market share of bearings using this new material will exceed 30%.
